This position that utilizes your communication, customer relations, information technology, organizational and clerical skills to support the operation and management of the Admission Department. Responsible for the initiation of the referral process, interim follow up, coordination of services, initiation of the medical record, tracking and retrieval of information as directed. Contacts and sends records to Medical Directors daily.
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse with medical record, medical secretary, or health care education or background with proficient secretarial and computer skills. Associates or higher degree preferred. Good working knowledge and use of current computer applications and electronic medical records. Demonstrates ability to organize multiple tasks, take initiative, performs work with accuracy and thoroughness, and work cooperatively with others. Must have excellent communication skills.
