    Adrian Bartholomeo

This will be my 4th year running with a Charity Bib for Hospice! I want to do my part to support this amazing service. It is an honor to offer support as a Bereavement Counselor as people work towards healing their hearts. I am convinced that the care from our Nurses, Social Workers, Spiritual Care Coordinator and Volunteers allows people to leave this world with dignity. The compassion patients and families receive can make a difficult experience a little less overwhelming. Thank you for contributing!

    Mallory Henderson

My name is Mallory Henderson, and I am a home care LPN with hospice and palliative care. This is my second time running the 15k boilermaker. I wanted to run for a cause this time so I figured what better way then raising support and awareness for my company. Hospice has always had my heart after I lost both of my grandparents on service, and I decided to make it my own career since 2017. I love being able to care for and comfort both my patients and their families in difficult times.

    Wally Plock

My name is Wally Plock and I am running my first 2020 Boilermaker under the Charity Bibs for Hospice & Palliative Care. The Boilermaker is an amazing community building event. Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. is also an amazing part of our community. I am blessed to be the Chaplain at Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. I have seen first hand the benefits of walking alongside patients and their loved ones on the difficult end of life road. Maybe you had a family member or friend who was helped by Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc.

When facing a terminal illness, we are Stronger Together" to quote last year's Boilermaker slogan. Your kind support helps us to help others in need.

    Wendy Karas

I am very happy to once again be able to raise money for Hospice this Boilermaker! I have known several very special families that were cared for by Hospice. I have seen first-hand the care, compassion and respect all were treated with...not just the client.
I will be running with our oldest son Adrian, currently a Bereavement Counselor at Hospice....so send those donations to me...just a friendly family competition.

    Cathy Marquissee

My name is Cathy Marquissee. I will be running my very first 2022 Utica Boilermaker Road Race this July. After registering I had discovered through the Boilermaker Facebook page that they offer us runners a chance to run for charity. In 2016, my beautiful father, Everett Gallogly was diagnosed with lung cancer. After two years of fighting the fight, we had reached out to Hospice and Palliative Care for his end-of-life care. Through my coworker and friend, Jan Elliott, she was able to assist me with getting the ball rolling by reaching out to her contacts at Hospice. What came afterwards was simply remarkable. Each of the nurses that visited were passionate and very caring! They helped me and my family prepare for the inevitable. We lost him on September 28, 2018. My cause is one of many, I know what they do is not easy, and I know many in our community who have benefited from their services. This is one way I can give back! Your support will mean so much to me. Any amount great or small would be so much appreciated! Thank you to the Boilermaker, and Hospice and Palliative Care for this opportunity!!

    Diana Noviasky

I've chosen to run the Boilermaker 15k for Hospice with a Charity Bib in Memory of my parents, Bud and Vilma Ellis.
My mom passed on December 2, 2021 and my dad, May 26, 2010.
The experience I had with Hospice and my mom is the reason I'm running to raise funds for this wonderful organization. Hospice is so much more than I ever knew and I cant do enough to thank everyone involved. The knowledge, care and guidance provided by Hospice allowed mom to be comfortable, at home and surrounded by love. Hospice cares, is an understatement.
Please support me on my run to honor Hospice staff and in memory of my beloved parents.
