Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. will hold special Open Houses for the reopening of the Hospice Siegenthaler Center on Tuesday, January 9 from 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m. and Wednesday, January 10, 2017 from 9:00a.m. – 6:00p.m. The Siegenthaler Center which originally opened in February 2005 recently was updated for the comfort of Hospice patients and families. Guests will enjoy light refreshments, guided tours and learn how someone can become a patient at the Siegenthaler Center. With our reopening, eligible hospice patients may now reside for up to six months or longer if appropriate at the Center.
Situated in New Hartford at 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., on a peaceful setting of woodlands, with walking paths and a gazebo, the Siegenthaler Center Hospice Residence offers a home-like environment while providing the full complement of Hospice & Palliative Care comfort-oriented services. Services include expert pain and symptom management, nursing care, assistance with the tasks of daily living, friendly visiting by volunteers, spiritual and psycho-social counseling for patients and their loved ones, and bereavement counseling and support groups for surviving family members.
