Hospice Memorial Walk - Saturday, March 24, 2007

Held at Notre Dame Jr.-Sr. High School, the Hospice Memorial Walk brings together friends and family in support of HPCI. Our unique 3K walk features music and a remembrance ceremony and reception. This event raises money for HPCI while offering the walkers a great workout and a beneficial healing experience.

Epicurean Delight - Sunday, April 29, 2007

Thirty of the areas finest restaurants gather together for this food tasting event. Over 500 guests attend Epicurean Delight at the Hart's Hill Inn each year to enjoy the delicious food, entertainment, and live auction featuring various spa, restaurant and travel packages, artwork and more. This fundraiser is one of HPCI's most recognizable and enjoyable events!

One Day Amazing Tag Sale to Benefit Hospice - Saturday, June 2, 2007

Whether you're shopping for summer items, new treasures or items for your home, you will be able to find what you need at Hospice's "One Day Amazing Tag Sale" that will have lots of items for everyone! One man's trash is another man's treasure, as the old adage says. Now you can turn unwanted items into cash for Hospice!

The Hospice Memorial Golf Tournament - Friday, June 29, 2007

The Valley View Country Club in Utica, NY is the home of our 2007 tournament. With lush greens and a good cause at hand, it's easy to see why 140 golfers each year are eager to join us. The tournament features lunch, contests along the course, dinner, raffle prizes, goody bags and awards following play.

Jennie Pickett Open - Saturday, July 14, 2007

The Annual Jennie Pickett Open, held at Maple Crest Golf Course in Frankfort, is held in memory of Jennie Pickett and coordinated by Jennie's husband and daughter Mary Massaro. Golfers are treated to a dinner at the end of the tournament in addition to prizes and fun!

Clinton Fish & Game Club 4th Annual Hospice & Palliative Care Charity Event – Saturday, July 28, 2007

David Cruger, John LaPorte, & Al Paniccia, Chairpersons
A 100 Target Sporting Clays Event consisting of 12-14 shooting stations on the scenic woods course of the Clinton Fish & Game Club. Lunch is included and awards will be given using Lewis Class scoring system.

Butterfly Release - Wednesday, August 1, 2007

A butterfly release will be held on the Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. grounds. According to American Indian Legend, if someone whispers a wish to a butterfly and then releases it, that wish will come true. The butterflies will be available for purchase in memory or honor of a loved one.

Big Moose Classic Golf Tournament - Friday, August 10, 2007

The Big Moose Classic Golf Tournament is held at Inlet Golf Course in Inlet to benefit the Siegenthaler Center.

The Hospice Telethon & Radiothon - December 2007

Aired on WKTV, the Hospice Telethon not only raises money for Hospice, but also educates the community on services provided by HPCI. Vignettes of those touched by hospice services are aired along with live interviews of staff and volunteers. The stage is staffed by a variety of corporate volunteers, in addition to our own supporters who accept pledges throughout the program. This fundraiser receives immense support from the community in the form of corporate and individual pledges.

Light Up A Life - November 15 – December 28, 2007

During the holiday season, Light Up A Life can be seen in locations throughout Oneida, Herkimer and Eastern Madison Counties, easily making it our largest fundraiser. This event features holiday trees staffed by hundreds of volunteers, who accept a donation from individuals who wish to place an ornament on the tree, to memorialize or to honor their loved one. Honorary event chairpersons are selected in each service region to help coordinate the event. This opportunity to remember a loved one during the holiday season is looked forward to by many.

Proceeds from these events benefit hospice services in Oneida, Herkimer and Eastern Madison Counties. To learn how you can become involved in the above fundraisers please contact the Development Office at (315) 735-6484.
