The Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. Development Council will be holding their Annual Butterfly Release Celebrations on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Herkimer County Community College. The raindate will be August 11th at 6:00 p.m.
A life-affirming expression of hope and peace, the Butterfly Release Celebrations offer a unique opportunity to honor or memorialize loved ones by sponsoring a butterfly in their name. Their release signifies freedom and happiness. The highlight of the event will be the individual release and flight of hundreds of beautiful Monarch butterflies. The events include live music and refreshments.
The proceeds will support Hospice and Bereavement Services to those who reside in Oneida, Herkimer and Madison Counties. “The Annual Butterfly Release offers our community a chance to remember or honor loved ones in a very beautiful and meaningful way”, stated event Co-Chair Jan Corn.
Sponsorship is $25 per butterfly or five for $100. If you are not able to attend the Butterfly Release Celebrations butterflies can be released for you.
